Director of Marketing & Product Management.

The Company:

My client is a Global market leader in the in the design, manufacture, marketing and distribution of machines for the compaction of soil, asphalt and refuse.

 

The Role:

The Director of Product Management and Marketing will plan, supervise, direct and coordinate all business-related activity and performance of the Marketing Services and Product Management teams within U.S. and Canada. This will be done by supporting the dealer organization, rental customers and field personnel with market awareness, product information and marketing materials to improve competency of such products as well as provide a thorough understanding of their competitive positioning.

 

Main Responsibilities:

-Supervise the day-to-day responsibilities of the Marketing and Product Management teams in order to ensure compliance with Company goals and objectives

-Oversee the development & maintenance of a Strategic Product Plan whilst working closely with Engineering and Product Management to compile and maintain a SPL for all assigned product lines.

-Maximize company market share of assigned product lines by identifying high potential markets and non-performing areas to help support the field sales organization with both the channel and dealer development required for promotion of products

-Lead the Product Steering committee by serving as champion of all product related issues, including performance, quality and reliability issues

-Coordinate product development process for new product introductions and any major product changes with the Engineering department.

 

Minimum Requirements:

-College degree preferred or equivalent experience in business or related area required

-Prior experience (min. 10 years) of heavy equipment in a dealer development/sales environment (preferably construction applications)

-Proficient in interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills

-Proficient in Microsoft Windows environment

-Minimum 25% overnight travel required (South Carolina based), 50% if remote
