Lead Data Scientist.

My client has a great opportunity to join their digital team as a Lead Data Scientist where you will be working to take their products solutions and services to the next level using digital techniques and data.

This isn’t just your standard Lead Data Scientist position, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of the full data platform as well as being emersed in AI, Machine Learning and digital twin technology on a daily basis. As well as the following:

• Delivering digital solutions for predictive maintenance and digital optimization services
• Data modelling and architecture as well as the responsibility of data pipelines and transferring data
• Responsible for developing machine learning and AI tools to support the delivery of intelligent and predictive equipment applications
• Working with Power BI and Cloud architecture to support system level architecture
• Be responsible for improving the life of machines and working with next generation technology to support sustainability and safety within mines
• Be the lead for data engineering, DevOps, data ops and architecture

To be considered for this role as Lead Data Scientist you must have at least 4 years working within a Data Scientist role within either the Mining Industry or relevant Industrial Automation experience as well as the following skills and attributes:

• Educated to degree level with a qualification in Computing Science, Data Science or Data Engineering
• You will be proficient in analytics and database as well as understanding SQL, Python, R or Apache Spark
• You will need to understand and have experience of working with a cloud-based data platform and Power BI
• You must have experience working within agile development methodologies
• You will have a deep understanding of ML, AI, DL, cognitive solutions and IoT platforms including digital twins within the Mining industry
• Knowledge of relevant analytics, visualization, and ML libraries (SciPy/NumPy, Pandas/Matplotlib, Keras/TensorFlow, PyTorch)
