I travelled to Paris and visited Eurovent Certitia Certification's inaugural Eurovent Day to meet some of my senior connections, learn more about the event and discover trends in Smart Buildings.
Eurovent Day is all about building a community between manufacturers, certifiers, engineers and more. The idea is that this can be a place for thought leaders in the Smart Buildings industry to meet and discuss major topics like regulations, energy efficiency, law equity and more.
I sat down and spoke to Eurovent Certita Certification's Managing Director, Sylvain Courtey. We discussed how 3rd party certification is crucial for the end user’s peace of mind and the future of the market. He was also keen to champion the importance of events like Eurovent Day, as it is a chance for everyone in Smart Buildings to share their knowledge and grow.
President of Eurovent Certita Certification, Erick Melquiod, was also eager to chat. We discussed the industry’s growth in 2019, which he described as an ‘extraordinary’ year for the European HVAC market. That lead us to look ahead to 2020. Erick believed this would be a year to learn and prepare for the next market trend. More specifically for Eurovent, he believed that this year would be another year of growth in certification activity.
Get in touch if you’d like to discuss any of the topics covered in this video or would like to chat about opportunities across the Smart Buildings industry.
