Continuous Improvement Manager.

Charlton Morris are excited to be representing an innovative Automotive manufacturer in Boston. Due to continued business growth our client are looking to hire a Continuous Improvement Manager for their facility in Boston.

You will be responsible for driving employee engagement in CI, business process activities and cost reductions in order to increase key metrics such as quality, productivity and efficiency.

This role is responsible for not only continuous improvement of engineering and manufacturing processes but business improvement across all departments, implementing & auditing QMS and enhancement of the companies ISO certifications.

Responsibilities include -

• Lead continuous improvement and Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and projects with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Improve employee engagement & ownership via increased visibility and participation of both hourly salaried associates in improvement activities.
• Create and automate KPI's and dashboards to ensure visibility across sites on performance and continuous improvement activities.
• Personally the implementation projects for all value streams
• Drive results through the identification and execution of Value Improvement Projects, helping to resolve plant and supplier quality issues, reduce product cost and cost of operation, certification issues and improve customer satisfaction.
• Collaborates with multi-disciplinary groups such as Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Aftermarket, Supply Chain, Finance and Office functions to drive process and efficiency improvements.
• Manage various ISO certification processes such as 9001, 14001 and 45001.

 

Requirements -

• Ideally you will be degree educated in Business, Engineering or related field with an MBA in general business, leadership or quality preferred
• Six Sigma certification is also strongly preferred, if not to Black Belt, Green Belt as a minimum. You will be a practitioner with demonstrable experience in running Six Sigma projects and helping in the training and development of others.
• A minimum of 6 years of working experience in the CI field, leading projects and large teams with size, scope & complexity.
• Experience in implementing and auditing quality management systems for an organization that develops and manufactures high complexity technical products.
• Confident using LEAN tools and techniques, Six Sigma, 8D problem solving etc
