Strategic Account Manager.

Johannesburg - South Africa Competitive Base + Bonus

Our client, an innovative global leader in Industrial Automation is looking for their next Account Manager to join their growing team based in South Africa. You will be responsible for a full software portfolio selling into existing customers as well as new prospects.

As an Account Manager you will be responsible within your own territory to be the first point of call for customer resolutions, assist with the wider sales team on prospects within the territory and continue to stay up to date with product updates and areas of growth as well as the following key responsibilities:

  • Execute strategic account plans, identifying areas of growth and opportunities to upsell
  • Responsible for maintaining a high level of customer service, creating rapport and making new introductions within your customer base
  • Maintain industry knowledge across a vast variety of sectors including those relevant to your industry such as ongoing trends and gaps in the market
  • Be responsible for customer presentations and pitches with the ability to propose solutions when required

We are looking for a stand-out candidate who oozes passion for Account Management and Industrial Automation!

To be considered for this role you will need to be currently working across various Industrial verticals selling Software into businesses as well as the following skills and attributes:

  • A proven ability to meet targets and work with multi-million-dollar deals
  • You must have worked selling directly at C-Suite level
  • Be an enthusiastic ‘go-getter’ with a commercial and technical acumen
  • Current Account Management experience
  • Commercial awareness and experience in preparing proposals and presenting
  • A clear understanding of customer requirements and the ability to nurture long-lasting relationships
  • A minimum of 4 years working within sales and software
  • A strategic thinker with a clear understanding of the industrial market
  • Degree level education within engineering would be a great advantage!
