Customer Care & Handover Manager - (Multiple locations in Europe).

A global design & build general contractor is currently working on several new Data Centre and Life Science projects across Europe and we are looking for highly influential Soft Landings Coordinator to develop, implement and continually improve the Handover and Customer Care strategy for the European business. This is a role for an individual with customer-facing experience within the construction or project development industry, who is looking to join a thriving, reputable general contractor with fantastic growth opportunities.

There is often a significant gap between predicted and achieved performance of buildings that results in part from short-comings in briefing, design and construction and in part from poor operation. This problem is exacerbated by the almost complete separation of construction and operation.

You'll be tasked to ensure the transition from construction to occupation is 'bump-free' and that operational performance is optimised, through the implementation of consistent and repeatable best practices that are easily adopted by every team, and every person in the business and in the spirit of striving for continuous improvement across the business.

This includes:

• To ensure that all Customer issues are dealt with quickly, professionally and to their complete satisfaction
• Arrange and undertake regular site inspections to monitor subcontractor performance, with persistent non-adherence to be escalated to the operation leader for the region
• Responsible for collation of all handover documentation (O&M, As-Builts etc.)
• Point of contact for customers warranty information

What are we looking for?

• An all-around basic knowledge of the design and construction industry
• Background in any engineering or construction discipline (Civil, Structural, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services)
• At least a couple of years’ experience in a customer facing role, either for a general contractor or owner/developer
• Based in either the Benelux (Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg), DACH (German, Switzerland, Austria), or Nordic (Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland) regions
• Local languages skills advantageous (depending on chosen location)
• A proactive, organised and problem-solving individual with ambitions to be a leader
