Business Development Manager - Speciality Logistics.

Boston - United States $100k - $150k Fix + Commission

We’re now looking for a Business Development Manager to help us expand our Specialty Logistics business in the US.

The role - Business Development Manager - Specialty Logistics

The BDM’s main areas of responsibility are to acquire and grow/expand new Specialty Logistics clients (Batteries, Dangerous Goods, Mechanical Engineering) in the US market through its experienced network, to assist the Group Business Unit Director in Specialty Logistics locally on the global client accounts as well as the overall Specialty Logistics business in the group. The person will also be responsible for the execution of the company’s global strategy to position YSDS as the global premium Specialty Logistics shipping provider in the US market.

 

BDM Specialty Logistics

  • New client segment acquisition
  • Qualitative growth existing KAM accounts
  • Drive US sales & operations approach in Specialty Logistics
  • Reach or exceed set goals in terms of activities, financials and client satisfaction (NPS)
  • Act as a YSDS ambassador towards YSDS’s clients and ensure that YSDS is seen as #1 global premium Specialty Logistics shipping provider
  • Keep his/her client data up to date in YSDS’s CRM, ERP and BI systems

 

Who you are

  • A real team player with a business results-oriented “can do” attitude, matched with excellent sales, communication and negotiating skills
  • A relationship builder who makes an instant impression and is client-focused
  • Existing solid understanding of the Specialty Logistics sector, with a curiosity to learn more
  • Ability to work and thrive in a very fast-paced industry and environment
  • Sales experience, comfortable with B2B sales and cold customer acquisition
  • Proven track record of accomplishments that can be demonstrated upon request

 

Qualifications

  • +3 years of sales and business development experience in logistics/courier/freight forwarding, automotive, mechanical engineering, IT, or any related industries
  • Excellent computer skills & knowledge of MS office 365
  • Fluent in English (other language skills preferred but not essential)
