Commissioning Manager - Data Centre construction.

Frankfurt or Zurich - Germany/Switzerland Competitive salary

Are you thinking about your next career move but not sure if you'll find the right company, culture, tools, and progression opportunities?

Worry not, as I'm recruiting for a household name in the global Data Centre & Life Science construction world (main contractor) and they want to show you why they are the right fit for your career aspirations.

If you're looking for a flat, non-hierarchical and title-less environment, where collaboration is at the heart of everything they do, then look no further. With an emphasis on changing the world and continuous improvement, these core values are lived by throughout the business.

My client is actively involved in several projects in the DACH region and is looking to bring on-board a Commissioning Manager to work closely with all members of the project team, and ultimately verify and close out all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety and fire sprinkler scopes of a project.

So what does this involve?

  • Commissioning and validation certification of project systems, including the turnover package.
  • Deploying full commissioning plans for all MEP systems that identify and define the following: all test requirements, required inspections, factory start-up of major equipment, factory acceptance testing, project and vendor documentation requirements, and integrated test plans demonstrating full system operations.
  • Day to Day management of the commissioning process for large data centre projects. Use of technology; BIM360 used to track all items.

So what kind of skills and experience are we looking for in a Commissioning Manager?

  • At least 5 years of commercial construction experience, preferably working similar Hi-Tech, Data Centre or Life Science projects
  • Experience as an MEP Coordinator, or other relevant position, during the commissioning phase of a project
  • German-language skills necessary
  • Be a collaborative and passionate advocate for customers, empowering and informing them throughout the project.
